DEADLINES
Grant applications are reviewed on the schedule below. If an application deadline falls on a weekend, then the applications are due by 5 p.m. ET on the Friday immediately preceding the deadline.
Two (2) rounds of awards are reviewed each year, according to the following schedule. Each round is a 4-consecutive month process, as follows: October, November, December, and January; April, May, June, and July.
Month #1: Applicant accesses the mcneicefoundation.org link, and requests a “preliminary” application, completes it, and returns it by the end of month #1. To request the “preliminary” application, click here. If the link does not work for you, please email mcneicefoundation@choate.com and request a link to the “preliminary” application.
Month #2: Trustees and their advisors review the “preliminary” applications, and the Trustees then decide by the end of month #2 which applicants should be invited to submit “final” applications.
Month #3: Invited applicants complete and file a “final” application by the end of month #3.
Month #4: Trustees decide which “final” applications will be given awards, and the amounts and payment dates thereof.
